THE KEEPER

Arune Rutkute is a Lithuanian painter working in oil, exploring the interior architecture of hypersensitive perception. Her figurative work sits at the intersection of Old Master technique and contemporary psychological inquiry — portraits of subjects who exist in states of heightened awareness, concealment, and transformation.

The series Keeper of Rituals documents the moment sensation exceeds the threshold of ordinary experience and resolves into image. Figures appear masked or veiled, inhabiting spaces that hold both intimacy and estrangement. The work has been exhibited independently and is held in private collections across Europe.
